Apple confirmed an October 13 event in Tribeca. The home hub, Apple TV and HomePod mini are expected. Prices and a second Mac event are not.
On October 8, Apple’s marketing chief Greg Joswiak posted a short video of a rainbow Apple logo being embroidered into fabric. The caption was four words: “Welcome home. October 13.” Invitations went to press and creators for an “Apple Experience” in Tribeca, New York, at 9:00 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
Welcome home. October 13.

That is the full list of what Apple has said. Everything below comes from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and MacRumors, and it is worth keeping the two columns separate.
Confirmed by Apple
- The date: Tuesday, October 13.
- The place: a hands-on experience in Tribeca, not a keynote at Apple Park.
- The tagline: “Welcome home.”
Apple’s events page did not list a livestream as of this weekend, so check it Monday night. Macworld expects a web launch with press releases rather than a staged presentation.
Reported, not confirmed
A home hub
Gurman has reported a device with a roughly six-inch square display in countertop and wall-mounted versions. The countertop model sits on a speaker base with an arm that tilts the screen, which is why half the internet is calling it a tiny iMac G4. It is expected to recognize who is in front of it and show that person’s calendar, messages and photos, run Siri AI, and act as the controller for HomeKit devices. It needs USB-C power; there is no battery. MacRumors puts the rumored price around $350. Apple has not said a word about pricing.
Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini
Both are expected to get new processors so they can run Siri AI. The HomePod mini has not been updated since it launched in 2020.
LG-built accessories
Gurman reports Apple is working with LG on a line of smart home products: a wired video doorbell, a thermostat, a smart deadbolt, a temperature sensor, and indoor, outdoor and floodlight cameras. They would carry LG’s name with Apple’s software and quick-start pairing. Macworld expects some of these on stage Tuesday; the YouTube channel Apple Weekly expects them later in the year or early next. Nobody outside Apple and LG knows.
The second event
MacRumors has reported a separate Mac event between October 26 and 30, and Gurman has said Apple’s first touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro could arrive as early as October. Cult of Mac’s read is that Tuesday is home products only and the Macs get their own day. That matches the invite, which mentions nothing about computers.
What to watch for on Tuesday
Start with the price, because a $349 hub and a $499 hub are different products. Then which countries it ships in with Siri AI working, because Gurman has said EU customers should not expect Siri AI soon and a hub built around a voice assistant is a strange thing to sell where the assistant is missing. And whether it runs Thread, because the embroidered logo in the teaser is made of threads and Apple does not do that kind of pun by accident.
