It goes on the desk and stays there.
A review here starts when the product replaces whatever I was using, and I don’t write a word until it has been through enough workdays to have an opinion. For the AirPods Pro 3 that was ten months and three pairs. For the Gawfolk GF270J it was two weeks of 15-hour days, and the review says so.

How a review happens
It replaces what I was using
The Gawfolk GF270J took over as my main screen the day it arrived. The Colmi ring went on next to the Apple Watch so every night had something to check it against.
I test what a workday tests
How I sound to the person on the other end, how it feels after hours of wear, whether the battery reaches the end of the day, and whether my Mac recognises it every time I plug it in. That last one is how the GF005 lost its score.
The bars are the tests, the big number is my call
A product can do well on most bars and still get a 6 if the thing that went wrong is the thing you would care about. The big number is where I land after the bars, and it leans toward whatever would decide your purchase.

What a score looks like
From my Apple Watch Ultra review. An 8 for everyday use and a 6 overall, because Apple dropped it from watchOS 27 and if you’re buying a used one today that is the fact that matters.
