Motorola's Signature 27 costs $1,599.99 in the US in one 12GB/512GB configuration. Preorders open November 19 at Motorola.com, Amazon and Best Buy, and it goes on sale unlocked November 26 with no carrier deals announced. It has a 7,000 mAh battery, a 200MP 3x telephoto and seven years of Android updates.
Motorola’s new flagship is coming to the US unlocked, at a price usually reserved for foldables. Motorola announced on November 5 that the Signature 27 opens for preorder on November 19 at Motorola.com, Amazon and Best Buy. It goes on sale universally unlocked at the same three stores on November 26, at $1,599.99.

There is one US configuration: 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, according to 9to5Google and PhoneArena. Some early reports, including 9to5Google’s, gave earlier dates. Motorola’s own release says preorders open November 19 and sales start November 26.

Check your carrier before you pay foldable money for a slab
No US carrier has announced it will sell the Signature 27, so you’ll buy it outright at full price. Android Headlines says the unlocked phone works on AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and their MVNOs. Motorola’s release doesn’t list bands, so check your carrier’s compatibility tool with the model number before you preorder, especially on Verizon.
The price puts it in rare company. PhoneArena notes it costs more than the Galaxy S26 Ultra and the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Folding phones like the $1,999 iPhone Duo still cost more. What you get for it is battery and longevity: a 7,000 mAh cell, and an update promise that runs well past a typical three-year company phone cycle.
Our call: if your team buys phones for five-plus years and wants Android without Samsung or Google, the Signature 27 is the first Motorola worth putting on that list. Wait for independent battery and camera tests before buying a fleet. Seven years of updates means less without a stated cadence. If you’d rather go small and cheap, the crowdfunded $599 Enough Phone promises updates through 2032, but it won’t ship until May 2027.
I haven’t tested the Signature 27.
