Motorola announced the Moto Watch 2 Fit, a 12-day fitness watch with Polar's Nightly Recharge and Running Index, and the Moto Buds 2 Ultra with Bose QuietControl noise cancellation, on November 5. Both reach North America in the coming weeks. Europe prices are €119 and €199; no US prices yet.
Motorola has two new wearables coming to North America, and the watch is the one to watch. The Moto Watch 2 Fit, announced November 5, pairs a 12-day battery with sleep and training features built by Polar, the Finnish sports-watch maker. The Moto Buds 2 Ultra are Motorola’s top earbuds, tuned by Bose with Bose’s noise cancellation. Both arrive “in the coming weeks,” according to Android Authority and Notebookcheck. Motorola has not given US prices. In Europe they cost €119 and €199. If you want a cheap sleep tracker with a screen, wait for the US price before buying anything else in this range.
Moto Watch 2 Fit: Polar’s software on a budget watch
The hardware, as reported by Android Authority and Notebookcheck:
- Screen: 1.85-inch always-on OLED, up to 1,500 nits, Gorilla Glass 3, 2mm bezels.
- Battery: up to 12 days, per Motorola.
- Durability: IP68 and 5ATM. Motorola says that covers rain and a “brief workout” in a pool.
- Sensors: heart rate, SpO2, GPS for runs and rides, automatic detection of more than 100 workouts.
- Calls: speaker and microphone for calls while your phone is in Bluetooth range.
The Polar part is the news. Polar’s Nightly Recharge scores overnight recovery, Sleep Plus Stages breaks down sleep, and Serene runs guided breathing with biofeedback. For training there is a new Running Index for aerobic efficiency, heart rate zones, a daily activity score and goal, and Polar’s Smart Calories. Polar normally sells these features on its own watches. A “Hey Qira” AI workout coach is promised for later, and Notebookcheck says it needs a Motorola phone.
In some markets the watch is called the Moto Watch Fit 27. Colors are Stratified Sea, Pigeon and Ballerina.
Moto Buds 2 Ultra: Bose tuning and noise cancellation
The earbuds use 11mm drivers with Bose SoundDesign tuning, Bose QuietControl active noise cancellation, a transparency mode, Dolby Atmos with head tracking, and AI live translation on compatible Motorola phones. Motorola rates them at 8 hours of playback, 37 hours with the case, and IP57. In Europe they cost €199, per Android Authority. They sit above the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus, which already sell in the US.
Who should wait for the US price
The watch is the more interesting product for remote workers who care about sleep. Polar’s recovery metrics on a 12-day battery watch is a combination you usually pay more for. The open question is how the data reaches you: Android Authority’s report does not say whether it lives in Motorola’s app or in Polar Flow, and that decides whether you can compare it with a ring or a Garmin over time. I have not tested either product. Until there is a US price and a review, my best sleep tracker guide covers the picks I’d buy today.
For the earbuds, €199 puts them against AirPods Pro 3 and Galaxy Buds. Call quality, not music, decides that fight for work; see earbuds for calls and travel. Motorola launched both alongside its $1,599 Signature 27 phone; live translation on the earbuds needs a compatible Motorola phone.
